Caribbean sunset
My journey slowed a bit this past summer as I turned 50. This sunset reminded me of how beautiful life can be.

Being involved in a Bible Study always challenges me. I know it is work, but that is what I need in order to get into His Word. This past week, Psalm 121 has spoken to me so many times. I love saying it over and over in my mind.

I lift my eyes up to the hills- where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed he who watches over Israel will not slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you-
the Lord is your shade at your right hand
the sun will not harm you by day
nor the moon by night
The Lord will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Psalms 121

How I have needed this many times this past week.
I am involved in a Ladies Bible Study at Faith Community Church. We are studying Beth Moore's Stepping Up, The Psalms of Ascent. It is truly powerful and I am learning more about myself with each lesson. Last week was a Psalms that has stuck with me. I have heard it many times before, but am just now beginning to understand it.
